1 year pictures!

Mason had his 1 year pictures taken a couple weeks ago and it was quite the adventure! I'm not sure if there ever is a "good time" for a 1 year old. We did manage to get a few good pictures but Mason's a fast learner and figured out what we were trying to make him do and he refused to take a family picture. Oh well, hopefully next year he'll be a little bit more cooperative! Ha!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Mark turned 29 on Monday so Grandma & Grandpa M. watched Mason while we went out to eat. Thank you! Mason was being pretty fussy when we left (5 teeth coming in at the same time will do that to you) but they said he was pretty good the rest of the night.

Mason was almost asleep when we got home but we could hear him in his room talking away so we couldn't resist picking him up to give him a hug and say goodnight. Well, he was all smiles as soon as we brought him out of his room and then he was being a total ham for the camera! He is so quick it's always hard to get a good picture of him, but on Monday he was actually smiling and looking at the camera! (Why couldn't he do that for his one year pictures!!??!!) He eventually wanted to play with the camera, so that was the end of the fun and back off to bed he went.

Nick and Tessa came over for a little while on Sunday while Neil and Kim went to a Packer Party. The kids really helped entertain Mason! They were so cute together, especially Mason and Tessa!

Mason pushing Nick???!!

Gotta love the big yellow school bus!

Time to relax w/Dad and eat some puffs.

Birthday Boy!

Well, I find myself saying the same thing I'm sure all new parents say - I can't believe my baby is 1!!! I thought the 3 months of sleepless nights would never end and now I'm "somewhat" sad that he is in bed by 7pm already. Our wild little monster that we lovingly call him, has definitely turned the corner towards being a toddler and likes to demonstrate that by asserting his independence A LOT! All in all though, he is so much fun and we think he is just the best and perfect in every way.

Some Mason facts and pictures from his party:
* He wieghs 24lbs. and 3 ounces
* Nearly 31 inches tall
* Says ball, book, mama, dada
* LOVES to read books, even if it is only for 5 seconds
* He has 8 teeth and 3 molars - the 3 molars are causing a lot of meltdowns lately
* Loves to eat cheese and mandarin oranges
* Loves to pick up very large objects and carry them to you
* Really likes animals, especially dogs
* He loves to be on the go at all moments

Mason says... "The bigger the present the better!"

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin Farm

Well, obviously this post is a little past due, but I thought I'd still share it anyways... it's still technically fall :)

We went to Swans pumpkin farm about a month ago and Mason had a blast running all over the place. The camera battery died toward the end of our visit so we didn't get to capture Mason running wild thru the corn maze but I'm sure you can picture that! Next year should be even more fun as they have a lot more activities that a one year just wouldn't sit still long enough for.

He loved the goats! And wasn't afraid to touch them at all!

We can't get Mason to sit still for longer than 5 seconds and it wasn't any different at the pumpkin farm with all the bright pumpkins to play with.
